Carla is definitely a curl whisperer, I had a haircut with her and she is very attentive and present. She asks questions about my preferences and gave me styling product alternatives. My hair is fantastic. The price felt like excellent value.

Marie has been my hairdresser for about two years and she is amazing. She really understands what I want, she respects my wishes, and when I wanted bangs last time she did exactly what I wanted. Before, I could not have my hair long because it would always break, and ever since I have been with her I have had the longest my hair has ever been. She comes to my house once a month to cut and color my hair, which is amazing for me since I work remotely, and she also started cutting my boyfriend's hair and he loves it.

A salon I recommend to all expats. I came in with dull hair, and Leonardo managed to make my hair shine. The products he used are also excellent, thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions
What expats want to know before hiring curls hairdressers in Lisbon.
Are there English-speaking curls hairdressers in Lisbon?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring curls hairdressers in Lisbon?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.
What should I avoid when hiring curls hairdressers in Lisbon?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I explain what I need if my Portuguese is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say curls hairdressers in Portuguese?
In Portuguese, curls hairdressers are usually called cabeleireiros de cabelo encaracolado. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find curls hairdressers I can trust in Lisbon?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
