Sofie
Lisbon, Mar 2025
We brought in Alice to do a live painting during an exhibition in Lisbon to compliment a live performance. She set up easily, told us what we needed, painted while a dancer and a girl singing performed, and she interacted with people but kept working, really capturing the essence of the event and the artist. The painting reflected the ocean and water theme, this blue line where you kind of see a mermaid person inside, and it sold right after the show. We even used it later in a workshop to project AI on top of it, and I loved how she stayed true to her own style while fitting perfectly into the scene.

I was pleasantly surprised by how seamlessly Olga handled my Instagram posts and promotions. The 2D floor plans for my gym were spot on and fit my initial vision perfectly. Everything was delivered on time and the user-friendly design works great, especially on mobile.

Lisbon, Oct 2024
From the moment the project started, I felt involved and informed throughout the process. The developer met the timeline and even finished a week early, providing regular previews and incorporating my feedback. As someone with limited tech knowledge, I appreciated the clear communication and felt confident in the final product for my law firm.

Simpler booking add-on
€1,200 to €5,500

Content-heavy site
€1,200 to €5,500
Hourly rate

Single landing page
€300 to €1,200
Hourly rate
€30 to €60 an hour
Online shops (e-commerce)

€2,500 to €15,000
Simple shop on a platform
€800 to €4,000
Portfolio and personal sites

Built on the platform
€300 to €1,200
Hourly rate
€30 to €60 an hour
WordPress

€300 to €1,200
Hosting and domain setup

€30 to €125 an hour
Typical small job
€20 to €350
Maintenance and updates

Frequently Asked Questions
What expats want to know before hiring webdesigners in Lisbon.
Are there English-speaking webdesigners in Lisbon?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring webdesigners in Lisbon?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.
What should I avoid when hiring webdesigners in Lisbon?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I explain what I need if my Portuguese is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say webdesigners in Portuguese?
In Portuguese, webdesigners are usually called web designers. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find webdesigners I can trust in Lisbon?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
