Martin built a custom bed for my daughter's room, custom closet shelving for different closets, a desk for my daughter, and furniture for my studio like tables and custom shelving for my tools. He really listens, is very thorough, finished when he said he would, and always left the place clean; his team was respectful too. Communication was great - if something came up he let me know well in advance - and he's super reliable, which is why I keep hiring him. Pricing felt fair to me, maybe a bit expensive for some friends, but the quality and professionalism match.

I hired Ricardo for custom furniture and everything went very well. Communication was very good and he came twice to get it done. The price felt fair - about market, not more, not less. I would recommend him and would use his services again.

I needed to change my toilet and wanted someone who could speak English so I did not have to keep using Google to translate what I needed. Santiago was very easy to talk to and communicate with, very calm, trustworthy, and easy to schedule with. He changed the toilet, cleaned up, removed the debris and the old toilet, and everything works as I expect. He gave me a fair price, I am very happy with him, and I would recommend him.

Frequently Asked Questions
What expats want to know before hiring carpenters in Barcelona.
Are there English-speaking carpenters in Barcelona?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring carpenters in Barcelona?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.
What should I avoid when hiring carpenters in Barcelona?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I explain what I need if my Spanish is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say carpenters in Spanish?
In Spanish, carpenters are usually called carpinteros. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find carpenters I can trust in Barcelona?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
