Paulo

Barcelona, Jul 2026

Last year I worked with Eduard on a project in Barcelona, and also on some projects in Lisbon. We did an interior review of an apartment, changed the windows, handled the supervision with the Ayuntamiento of Barcelona, and changed the energy certificate of the apartment. I was teaching at the university and he was working on the project bureaucracy with me, and everything was perfect. The price felt fair, he is a good partner, and I really recommend him.

Tamara helped us with the interior design for a local remodeling and the truth is that it turned out super good. They really understood us, and the communication was always active and fast. We are very satisfied with how it turned out, super recommended. If we have to make more modifications, we would contact Tamara again without a doubt.

José

Barcelona, Sep 2025

We hired Daniela as an architect and interior designer to take our apartment from full demolition to a finished home, and she handled the whole project from beginning to end. She made the whole plan, suggested contractors, did the follow-up of the work, and made 3D renders for each decision so we could see how things were going to look because the plans are a bit hard to understand. We had a chat group for all the decisions, communication was constant and she was always super available, and we are happy with how the work turned out - it was what we had planned and what she showed us. The price felt very good, and we’ve already recommended her to friends who were also very satisfied.

Frequently Asked Questions

What expats want to know before hiring interior designers in Barcelona.

Are there English-speaking interior designers in Barcelona?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring interior designers in Barcelona?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.
What should I avoid when hiring interior designers in Barcelona?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I explain what I need if my Spanish is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say interior designers in Spanish?
In Spanish, interior designers are usually called interioristas. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find interior designers I can trust in Barcelona?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
