I've had 3 sessions with Alexis so far and it's been really great. He comes at home, explains things clearly, and he is soft and progressive in his approach, which I really like. The price feels fair for what he does, and overall I had a very good experience.

I’m an old professional athlete with permanent back and torn muscle issues, and I met Ferda through a friend. She’s very good at osteopathy and uses dry needles, and she resolved more or less 70-80% of my problems, so I still keep on seeing her. Sessions are long and intense at the start and then more like recovery touches, and she’s very on time - actually better than me - and the price felt very reasonable for the time she gives. Sometimes I think she could use a bigger place so people don’t wait, but overall she’s become a very permanent person in my life.

David has been my go-to for 14 years for anything my mind, body, and soul need. His therapy sessions, which blend various techniques including crystals, always leave me feeling peaceful and lighter. The atmosphere in his studio is calming and zen, making it easy to relax and find inner peace.

Frequently Asked Questions
What expats want to know before hiring osteopaths in Lisbon.
Are there English-speaking osteopaths in Lisbon?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring osteopaths in Lisbon?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
Are the doctors and dentists properly registered in Lisbon?
Yes. Doctors and dentists must be registered, with the relevant Ordem (Ordem dos Médicos or Médicos Dentistas) in Portugal. Reputable private clinics will confirm their professionals' registration.
What should I avoid when hiring osteopaths in Lisbon?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later. And never use someone who cannot show the right certification.
How do I explain what I need if my Portuguese is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say osteopaths in Portuguese?
In Portuguese, osteopaths are usually called osteopatas. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find osteopaths I can trust in Lisbon?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
