We hired Cristina because my husband was having big issues with his papers and documents after a divorce, and his document was not being renewed and his nationality was not going through. She solved everything, she did all the papers in order for him to get his NIE again, and after maybe a month he also managed to get the nationality he had already applied for. For me it was amazing because she was fast, very efficient, and present in each part of the process. I highly recommend her because she really helped us in a very difficult moment, and compared to other lawyers I checked, it felt affordable.

Cristina did a review of my digital nomad visa application before I submitted to the UGE, and she was thorough, helpful, and professional. She reviewed all of my documentation and provided me a helpful to-do list, and then helped me to ensure my follow-up submission had correct information. I'd highly recommend her to anyone seeking guidance around their digital nomad application and I would work with her again in a heartbeat.

We hired Cristina to manage the visa process for our hires across Spain, Italy, and Portugal, and she was the main person responsible for the immigration legal support. Things really improved the moment she joined the team, she was fast, reactive, resolutive, and someone who just gets things done. She managed well over 100 highly qualified visas for the company, and I also later got her support again through my partner, who is an immigration lawyer, and the experience was just as good. I loved her, and I do not think we could have found someone so professional that easily.

Frequently Asked Questions

What expats want to know before hiring employment lawyers in Madrid.

Are there English-speaking employment lawyers in Madrid?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring employment lawyers in Madrid?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
Are these lawyers properly registered in Madrid?
Yes. Practising lawyers must be registered, as colegiado with the local Colegio de Abogados in Spain. It is fine to ask, and a reputable firm will confirm it.
What should I avoid when hiring employment lawyers in Madrid?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later. And never use someone who cannot show the right certification.
How do I explain what I need if my Spanish is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say employment lawyers in Spanish?
In Spanish, employment lawyers are usually called abogados laboralistas. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find employment lawyers I can trust in Madrid?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
