I started with Fercho in January and have been taking one-hour lessons once a week for six months. He is very understanding and patient, and he explores the voice as an energetic system, which gave me a lot of confidence to sing during some tough moments. I go to his vocal studio - it feels cozy and really enhances my performance, and he is flexible with scheduling and speaks English and Spanish. Price feels fair, and honestly he is one of the best and I recommend him.

I started taking one-on-one singing classes about two and a half years ago, in person, and he’s absolutely the best vocal teacher I’ve had. He’s a wonderful, empathetic professional who keeps his attention on you the whole time, builds up your voice and even the muscles, very methodically using a method he really knows how to use, and he is very alert to what you need and turns what you say into something to learn from. I began from scratch - I couldn’t take two turns - and a week or two ago I was on stage singing I Dreamed a Dream by myself, which is a huge difference. Communication is great, I recommend him, and the price feels fair for the quality.

I took voice lessons to learn how to professionally sing, and after about five months I’ve seen a lot of improvement. He explained the techniques and positions in my voice, what I had to do different, and how to do it, and he builds unique lessons for what you need. I’m a really shy person, but with him I feel in a safe space and he brings out the best version of my voice; we mostly speak in English with a bit of Spanish and that works great. The price feels fair for Barcelona and the quality he offers, and he’s professional and easy to schedule with compared to my previous coach.

Frequently Asked Questions
What expats want to know before hiring singing instructors in Barcelona.
Are there English-speaking singing instructors in Barcelona?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring singing instructors in Barcelona?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.
What should I avoid when hiring singing instructors in Barcelona?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I explain what I need if my Spanish is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say singing instructors in Spanish?
In Spanish, singing instructors are usually called profesores de canto. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find singing instructors I can trust in Barcelona?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
