Sindy

Barcelona, Jul 2026

I had a really good experience with Pipa after we got our puppy at 10 or 11 weeks. She helped us from the beginning with what to check before bringing him home, what to ask at the first vet visit, what things to buy, and how to prepare the house and our daily life. We kept doing weekly meetings, sometimes at home and sometimes outside so she could see how he behaved with other dogs and in the street, and she gave us tasks to work on during the week. We still message her when new things come up, and our dog is really happy when she comes, which makes me feel comfortable.

Hadas

Barcelona, Oct 2026

Hanit was the first dog trainer I used to help my dog, who had a lot of behavioral issues, was very scared, aggressive, and not calm. She was amazing and wonderful, very smart, and she has such a touch, not only with dogs but also with people, she was almost like my personal therapist when it was really hard with the dog. She put in a lot of effort and commitment to the process, has a lot of knowledge, and I really trusted her. She helped me through a very hard time, and even after a few years I still use her services from time to time.

Nativ

Barcelona, Jul 2026

I hired Hanit when I got a new corgi puppy and wanted to teach him the basic stuff, like not going potty in the house, walking next to me without pulling the leash, and coming when I call him. We also worked on his food aggression because he was very protective over his food, and she taught me how to slowly give him the food and show him I was not trying to take it away. She taught me a lot of things, she always gives me good tips, and even today he is friendly and does not mind people going near his food. She is very kind, very professional, and does not waste time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What expats want to know before hiring dog trainers in Barcelona.

Are there English-speaking dog trainers in Barcelona?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring dog trainers in Barcelona?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.
What should I avoid when hiring dog trainers in Barcelona?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I explain what I need if my Spanish is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say dog trainers in Spanish?
In Spanish, dog trainers are usually called adiestradores de perros. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find dog trainers I can trust in Barcelona?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
