Nena

Madrid, Mar 2026

I started going because I had shoulder pain, and apart from alleviating the pain, I really liked the ambience in the space because it was relaxing and meditative for me. Felicia is so good at her job, she asks everything, does everything with care, and you can see she has so much knowledge. My shoulder pain is gone, now it only appears slightly when I am stressed out or have been working too much, and before I could not sleep because I was in so much pain. I think the price feels fair, and I have had a really nice experience, I have never had any problems.

Lili

Madrid, Sep 2026

I go here for facial massages and acupuncture, and I feel it is very useful for relaxation, especially because I work an office job. They usually start with the massage and then finish with the acupuncture. The people here make me feel very comfortable, and they are very nice and patient. I go about twice a month, and they speak Chinese, which is very comfortable for me.

Autumn

Madrid, Nov 2025

I had an amazing experience with Felicia for acupuncture. I started in November, and it really helped me with stress and some mental and physical ailments, and she explained everything to me step by step and always checked up on me. She also answered all my parents’ questions, I brought them there and had an incredible experience. They really calmed our nerves, and the whole environment felt very welcoming and knowledgeable. The price felt fair too, and I have even taken friends and my parents with me.

Acupuncture at home

How much does a home-visit acupuncturist cost in Madrid?

Home visits are priced as a normal session plus a travel supplement, usually around €5 to €20 depending on the distance. Confirm the full price before booking, and check that the travel and the disposable needles are both included in the figure you're given.

€35 to €60
Travel supplement on top
usually €5 to €20

Acupuncture at a clinic or studio

What does a clinic acupuncture session cost in Madrid?

In a Madrid clinic the price mostly follows the length of the session and the type of centre: a short follow-up sits at the low end, while a premium centre in the city can reach €80 to €90. Combining acupuncture with Tuina massage or osteopathy in one visit also pushes the price up, so ask what a session includes before you book.

Short follow-up (30 to 45 min)
€30 to €50
Standard session (45 to 60 min)
€35 to €60
Combined with Tuina massage or osteopathy
€35 to €80
Premium centre, single session
€80 to €90

Acupuncture for children

How much does children's acupuncture cost in Madrid?

None of the Madrid price guides publish a separate rate for children, so expect to be quoted after a first consultation, with the adult session as your reference point. Ask up front whether the therapist works with children and how they adapt the session.

Children's session
quoted after a first consultation
Adult session, for reference
€35 to €60
First consultation with assessment
€40 to €65

Fertility acupuncture

How much does fertility acupuncture cost in Madrid?

Expect a course of sessions rather than a one-off visit, and note that none of the Madrid price guides publish a fertility-specific rate. Budget on the standard session price or a 10-session pack, and ask the therapist how many visits they'd plan before you commit.

Fertility programme
quoted after a first consultation
Per session, standard rate
€35 to €60
Pack of 10 sessions
€260 to €420

Acupuncture for pain and injury

How much does acupuncture for back pain or an injury cost in Madrid?

Pain relief is one of the main reasons people book acupuncture in Spain, and chronic pain is normally treated as a course of six to ten sessions rather than a one-off. Per visit you pay the standard rate, so the number that matters is how many sessions the therapist expects, which is worth asking at the first consultation.

Single session for a specific injury
€35 to €60
Session with osteopathy or Tuina massage
€52 to €80
Course for chronic pain (6 to 10 sessions)
€180 to €450

Acupuncture during pregnancy

How much does acupuncture during pregnancy cost in Madrid?

Pregnancy is one of the reasons the Spanish price guides list for booking acupuncture, but none of them give it a separate price, so the standard session is your reference. Tell the therapist how far along you are when you book, and expect the first visit to run longer than the rest.

Single session
€35 to €60
First consultation with assessment
€40 to €65
Course through pregnancy
quoted case by case

Acupuncture for stress and anxiety

How much does acupuncture for stress or anxiety cost in Madrid?

Stress, anxiety and insomnia are treated over a course rather than a one-off, typically six to eight sessions at the standard rate. Some Madrid therapists pair the needles with a relaxing massage in the same visit, which adds a little to the price and a fair bit to the session length.

Single session
€35 to €60
Session plus massage for stress (about 60 min)
around €50
Course for anxiety or insomnia (6 to 8 sessions)
€180 to €360
Pack of 5 sessions
€145 to €225

Cosmetic acupuncture (aculifting)

How much does cosmetic acupuncture cost in Madrid?

Facial or cosmetic acupuncture, sold as aculifting in Spain, is the priciest version: sessions run longer and it's normally sold as a pack of six to ten. Ask how many sessions the therapist recommends and what the pack works out per visit, since the total climbs fast.

Single aculifting session (50 to 75 min)
€55 to €90
Pack of 6 to 10 sessions
€250 to €700
Standard body session, for comparison
€35 to €60

Acupuncture session

How much does an acupuncture session cost in Madrid?

A standard session in Madrid runs €35 to €60, and the first visit costs a bit more because it includes a proper assessment and usually lasts longer. Check whether disposable needles are included in the price, and ask about a pack if you'll need several sessions, since packs usually save 10 to 20% on the single-session rate.

First consultation (45 to 90 min)
€40 to €65
Follow-up session (30 to 60 min)
€35 to €60
Ear acupuncture only (auriculotherapy)
€15 to €45
Pack of 5 sessions
€145 to €225

Cupping (ventosas)

How much does cupping cost in Madrid?

Cupping, ventosas in Spanish, doesn't appear as a separate line in the Madrid price guides. Ask whether it's included in an acupuncture session or charged as an extra, because combining techniques in one visit can lift the price above the basic rate.

Cupping added to an acupuncture session
ask whether it's included
Standard acupuncture session, for reference
€35 to €60
Stand-alone cupping
quoted case by case

Moxibustion

How much does moxibustion cost in Madrid?

Moxibustion, warming the points with burning mugwort (artemisa), is normally offered together with acupuncture rather than on its own, and a session that includes moxa or electroacupuncture costs a little more than needles alone. If you already see an acupuncturist, ask whether adding moxa changes the price at all.

Session with moxibustion or electroacupuncture (45 to 60 min)
€40 to €65
Needle-only session, for comparison
€35 to €60
Moxa added to a session you already have
ask whether it changes the price

Frequently Asked Questions

What expats want to know before hiring acupuncture therapists in Madrid.

Are there English-speaking acupuncture therapists in Madrid?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring acupuncture therapists in Madrid?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
Are the doctors and dentists properly registered in Madrid?
Yes. Doctors and dentists must be registered, as colegiado with the relevant Colegio in Spain. Reputable private clinics will confirm their professionals' registration.
What should I avoid when hiring acupuncture therapists in Madrid?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later. And never use someone who cannot show the right certification.
How do I explain what I need if my Spanish is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say acupuncture therapists in Spanish?
In Spanish, acupuncture therapists are usually called acupuntores. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find acupuncture therapists I can trust in Madrid?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
